Kiran Electric Company was founded by Late Shree Balvantrai J. Mehta in the year 1945. He had started his journey with practicing as an Electrician in the area of Rajkot Jurisdiction in the year 1938.

Then in 1945 he had come up with the brand name “Kiran Electric Company” to have the Trading Business in the Electrical Market. We had commenced lots of Electrical Projects in different sectors like Electrical Contracting Projects, Hospitals, Hotels, Theatres, Residential Projects, Industrial Projects, Colleges, Govt. Street Lightings and etc. which made us grow tremendously into the Electrical Trading Business with the same Brand Name of Kiran Electric Company.

In the year 1952 Gujarat Electricity Board (GEB) had started giving the Electrical Contracting License for the first time ever in Gujarat and we as Kiran Electric Company were the First one in Gujarat to achieve that License. With the help of this License we were able to electrify 22 to 25 Modern Theatres all over the Gujarat i.e. Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Thangadh, Ahmedabad, Gandhidham and etc. In the year 1993 we were awarded with the Philips Best Dealer of the Year Award by Institute of Marketing & Management (IMM) in Delhi by Dept. Prime Minister Shri Sitaram Kesari.

In the very next consecutive year i.e. 1994 we were again awarded with the same Award of Philips Best Dealer of the Year Award by Institute of Marketing and Management (IMM) in Delhi by Finance Minister Shri Pranav Mukherjee. This all awards added a brand value to the Company which made us to commence more work all over Gujarat region and come with Sister Concern Companies of the same brand and Start up with the 2 new Manufacturing plants of Electrical Motors & Pump sets and the other one of Distribution Panel Boards since last 30 years. In the year 1998, Govt. of Gujarat had also awarded us with the Mr. Safety Award for the Best Contractors of the State in Ahmedabad.
